Best Practices Initiatives
The Business Roundtable for Education is actively engaged in promoting
BEST PRACTICES in education through its Best Practices
publications, showcases, and promotional activities.

The Business
Roundtable for Education's Best Practices in Education project
is a unique way to share with educators and business leaders
the outstanding programs that are taking place in San Diego
County's schools. In 2002 and 2003, we concentrated on K-8
school programs while our 2000 and 2001 work emphasized 9-12
programs. See the Best Practices book links on the sidebar to read and/or
print either the Best Practices in K-8 Education or the Best Practices in 9-12 Education book, read write-ups of
the programs visited, view the Best Practices and Showcases Photo Albums,
or enjoy the slideshow
from the
Best Practices in Education Showcase.
Each
year, the Best Practices in Education project just gets bigger and
better. Within the past two years, over 300 business people and
thousands of educators learned about the 32 Best Practices programs
highlighted in 2002-03 and became better informed about the
promising practices taking place in county K-8 schools. We are so proud of
the teacher expertise highlighted and the recognition garnered for the
programs from the business community.
The
latest version of the Best Practices book published Fall
2003 discusses promising and effective "Best Practices in K-8 Education" while the earlier book, "Best
Practices in 9-12 Education," portrays excellence in our local high
schools.
